No more chemicals, oral health included.
I am a firm believer- we can do it naturally! Can you even pronounce the ingredients in your mouth wash?
Do you remember what the instructions were when you got a piercing? Rinse with a saline solution x2 daily.
Salt is a simple disinfectant that nourishes our skin and doesn't really disrupt the natural pH, microbiome or natural oils.
Ingredients & method:
Get a jar you can fit into your medicine cabinet / where you store your oral hygiene care.
Make a saline solution: take quality salt / chunks of mineral dense salt and let it soak in previously boiled water to dissolve and make a saline solution. You want this solution to be extremely salty, like too salty to consume.
Grab a bottle- like the bottle shown in the picture at the top of this post and fill most of the way with the saline solution.
Next, optional, but I like to do it- add a dollop of unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. This will contain enzymes, bacteria, the nutrients from apples. I find the tang helps to refresh the breath and pH.
Add essential oils. My favourites are tea tree, clove (which is awesome to prevent and treat tooth aches) and peppermint (OBVS!).
Shake and gargle before bed/in the morning when you brush / floss your teeth.
Disclaimer: unpasteurized apple cider vinegar is not the same as white vinegar. They are not the same pH and they do not react the same in the body. If you have sensitive skin I would stick to unpasteurized apple cider vinegar- unless you are allergic to apples!
Still have stinky breath?
Diet & lifestyle is the most important part.
